What does Import Control System (ICS) mean?
In the EU, the ICS is used by operators to fulfil their safety and security obligations when introducing goods.
This procedure aims to secure the flow of international trade when entering
the territory of the European Union (EU) by carrying out a risk assessment while ensuring the fluidity of trade at entry points, regardless of the nature of the means of transport.
It results in the filing of an entry summary declaration (ENS).
Its transmission must be carried out in the French ICS system before crossing the EU border through the smart border system.
