The FMF observes with great sadness, and a profound sense of loss, the passing of the great economist and teacher, Walter E. Williams. May his work continue to have a positive impact on many people’s lives and thinking in the future.

Chile’s constitutional choice: lessons from SA – Martin van Staden In an October 2020 referendum the voting public of the Republic of Chile overwhelmingly approved the idea of drafting a new constitution. The new constitution is expected to be ratified by about August 2022. The SA constitution has regularly been lauded, both locally and internationally, as one of the best in the world, so it would be unsurprising if Chileans look to SA’s example for guidance.
