Khaya Lam (My Home)
Land Reform Project
Khaya Lam is an FMF initiative that seeks to reverse the evils of apartheid. In South Africa today, there are 5 to 7 million black families still living as council tenants. Khaya Lam facilitates and funds the transfer of council-owned homes to the legal tenant at no cost to the resident. New home-owners receive full title deeds to their homes. The prospects for economic upliftment through property titling is immense.
