President Cyril Ramaphosa has often talked up his desire to encourage billions of rands in investment into the country as part of his presidency and administration. However, glacial implementation – and contradictory, anti-growth policy choices – have undermined any notable level of transformative investment.

Khaya Lam (My Home)
Land Reform Project

Khaya Lam is an FMF initiative that seeks to reverse the evils of apartheid. In South Africa today, there are 5 to 7 million black families still living as council tenants. Khaya Lam facilitates and funds the transfer of council-owned homes to the legal tenant at no cost to the resident. New home-owners receive full title deeds to their homes. The prospects for economic upliftment through property titling is immense.
