FMF update

The FMF has been hard at work researching the impact of the lockdown, especially the impact of regulations on poorer South Africans.

To tackle COVID-19 we need trade collaboration and innovation – JASSON URBACH

It is highly concerning that many countries, including South Africa, are looking to the failed ideas of the past to address the crisis. Barriers are being erected that are deepening shortages of medical supplies, undermining innovation, and hampering efforts to beat the disease. Now is not the time for countries to look inwards. The crisis will only be resolved, and economies will only recover, if countries can trade and collaborate freely with each other.

All individuals and companies can donate and deduct a maximum of 10% of their taxable incomes to Section 18A approved Public Benefit Organisations. The minimum annual payment we require is R300. All payments of R250 or more will be treated as a donation for which you will receive a Section 18A certificate for SARS.
