On October 17, 2023, the FMF was in Klapmuts, part of the Stellenbosch Municipality, to celebrate the Khaya Lam initiative's achievement of 10,000 title deed transfers to rightful owners.

This incredible achievement not only marks a numerical milestone but also symbolises a profound impact on the lives of over 10,000 South African homeowners.

Through the concerted efforts of our generous sponsors, conveyancers, municipalities, and the dedicated Khaya Lam team, we have been able to provide a sense of dignity and security that comes with property ownership to these deserving individuals.

At this special event, the Khaya Lam team was joined by various stakeholders to celebrate the milestone and the positive change it represents for disadvantaged South Africans.

From L to R: Rex van Schalkwyk (FMF), Temba Nolutshungu (FMF), Elitha de Klerk (wife of the late Pres. FW de Klerk), Mayor of Stellenbosch, Adv Gesie van Deventer, Christina Teichmann (FW de Klerk Foundation), Terry Markman (FMF) and David Ansara (FMF).

Adv Gesie van Deventer, Mayor of Stellenbosch, addressing the audience in Klapmuts.

FMF PRESS RELEASE

NHI is a corruption-filled gravy train waiting to depart

The FMF vehemently opposes the National Health Insurance (NHI) Bill, considering it misguided and based on unsuccessful ideologies.

The core concern is the quality of healthcare, rather than achieving universal coverage. Consequently, we have formally submitted our objections with the Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL).

The FMF is concerned that the NHI could be vulnerable to political meddling and may encroach upon the constitutional rights of South Africans.
