DR BRIAN BENFIELD RETIRES FROM WITS AS VISITING PROFESSOR

The February IISA Newsletter reported that Dr Brian Benfield, Chairman of the FMF Executive Committee “turned 65 last year and retired from the University of the Witwatersrand as visiting professor, Insurance and Risk Management after teaching in that post for 25 years.”

“During that time he wrote the only known universal textbook on life office management, now in its second edition. During the same time and apart from several other local and international business interests, he was founder and chairman of Clientele Life, the first direct marketing life assurance business in South Africa.”
